The sunny eye is clearly ispired by ancient motifs found on Cypriot ceramics. In Late Geometric (1050-750 B.C) and early Archaic (750 – 475 B.C) periods, a new artistic expression emerges: the Free Field style. One of the most intriguing and emotionally resonant styles in late Cypriot ceramic decoration.
